Series of three short documentaries about the life in Damascus after 2012.
Even with the war surrounding Syria's capital, people still have their human dignity to keep
them alive. Their music, art and culture gives them hope for a better future.

The war is now outside the perimeter of the city, but a city takes a while to hear. How has Damascus changed for the people that have lived their this whole time.

Life continues to normalize in Damascus as a populace rebuilds its sense of society. During this process, the hole left by the many men missing or dead is hard to ignore.

Churchill famously responded to a call to cut arts funding during WW2 with “then what are we fighting for?” Today, Syrians continue to enjoy the arts in an effort to heal the wounds of war.
